Inaccurate contractor invoices could be costing you money

Litmus is proud of its track record in monitoring contractors’ invoicing on behalf of our clients.  Many don’t have the time to check the back-up (if there is any), and mistakes can go unnoticed.

What’s not in question is that:

  • A Contractor’s invoice can take significant time to assess;
  • Varied and accurate data is needed to make the right judgments;
  • An eye for financial detail is paramount;
  • Experience is needed as to how Contractors may mistakenly report their figures and,
  • It takes a lot of time and effort to chase Contractors to get errors fixed/credited.

We track and forensically analyse hundreds of actual vs budget outcomes, and where there’s a discrepancy from what is expected, we investigate and challenge. We have also built up a wealth of regional and national benchmarks enabling us to sense check that key financial indicators and ratios are within acceptable ranges.

More than ever, our clients are acutely aware of ensuring they see value in their contracts, and we’re pleased to be able to support them.

At the moment, we monitor 192 clients over 633 sites, and over the past eleven months, we have made over 50 challenges, where we’ve picked up on invoicing errors on behalf of our clients saving them over £500k.

A huge sum of money that would have unlikely been recovered had our monitoring service not been in place.
