Litmus In The News – March 24

We’ve had a busy few months speaking to the media around various topics and trends we’re seeing. Here are some of the recent articles our Litmus team has featured in.

Terry Wyldes, the Head of Asset Management in our Facilities Management division, appeared in TUCO magazine, January issue (which is the official magazine for The University Caterers Organisation), in a ‘Catering Light and Heavy Equipment’ feature. He talks about the importance of Planned Preventative Maintenance and proactive maintenance on catering equipment. You can view the article here.

Mark Kassapian, Managing Director in our Litmus Retail division, has also appeared in various publications, including TUCO, OOH and Hospital Food & Service.

In TUCO magazine, February issue, Mark appeared in a grab & go feature titled ‘The Fast and the Furious’. He talks about coffee consumption trends and how university caterers can tap into this market, the rising popularity for ‘better for you’ options, the importance of the customer journey to ensure sales, how university caterers can make sustainable steps forward with their packaging and encourage students to also play their part too and how plant-based eating is a big trend for younger consumers. In OOH magazine, Jan/Feb issue, Mark comments on how key it is for out-of-home operators to offering quality barista-style coffee offering as part of their drinks line up, the importance of range variety and the rise in healthier drink options. You can view the feature here.

Mark also had some comments appear in Hospital Food & Service magazine, Jan/Feb issue, in a vending and micro market feature titled ‘Automatic Service’. He talks about the rise of micro markets over the past five years, the importance of installing them in the right location within the hospital as well as his predictions on the future of tech and payments and the hot food offering.
