Managed tender service saves Independent School £100k

Litmus was appointed to conduct a catering and cleaning tender at a prestigious independent school.

Although the contract services being provided were good, the commercial deal was not – the consequence of a rolling contract and insufficient investment.

Litmus engaged with stakeholders at the school to determine their requirements for a new deal but also commenced dialogue with a select number of contractors with a track record of delivering both catering and cleaning services in schools. Litmus also held a pre-tender site visit to secure their commitment to bidding, allowing them to assess the opportunity and get to know the client.

Our managed tender process, which included written submissions, reference site visits and presentations to a panel – including pupil representatives – produced an improved service proposition and an annual saving to the client of £100,000!
