On Wednesday 29th November we sponsored and attended the second annual Scottish School Food Awards, at George Watson’s College in Edinburgh.
It was a fantastic black-tie dinner event which recognised, celebrated and rewarded the hard work and achievements of both contracted and in-house catering teams and individuals who, through the food and services they provide, make a difference to children’s lives every day.
Open to state-run and independent schools throughout Scotland, the Awards were judged by a panel of leading experts from across the education sector.
Everyone at the event enjoyed a delicious six-course dinner which was prepared and served by Inspire Catering, with assistance of pupils from George Watson’s College, who did the school proud.
Our Commercial Development Director Candice Finn, Education Consultancy Director Joe Parfitt and Senior Consultant Paul Cowie all attended and met with many of the schools, contractors and industry specialists who were there.
They were sat on the same table as the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award Jayne Jones, and it was an honour to witness the other worthy winners across the various categories, including Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh which won the ‘Wellbeing in Education’ Award, which we sponsored.
A brilliant event which showcased the highest levels of achievement, innovation and care within the sector.
