Our team have been busy speaking with the media these past few months, on issues, trends and topics in the various sectors we work in.


Here are some of the recent articles our Litmus team has featured in.


Our Education Consultancy Director, Joe Parfitt, appeared in Independent Schools magazine, March issue, talking about what independent schools should be doing if Labour come into power and introduce VAT on school fees. A big topic at the moment amongst the independent school sector. The article is here (page 22).


A full-page ‘Quick Fire Questions’ Q&A article appeared in Contract Catering magazine, April issue, featuring Mark Kassapian, Director of Litmus Retail. Mark talks about the importance of incorporating branded retail outlets into an overall catering offering, the part that deals and offers play in the value-led economy we’re living in and a snapshot of the services he offers. Mark Kassapian also featured in Public Sector Catering magazine, May issue, commenting on how consumers are increasingly factoring in the cost of products when making choices about food on-the-go and what operators should be considering to still ensure they are driving sales. Karl Cundill, Joint Managing Director of our specialist Facilities Management division, Litmus FM, contributed a thought leadership article for Facilities Management Journal magazine, May issue, which resulted in a double page spread. In the article, Karl talks about the proactive maintenance plans that can be implemented to reduce the risk of grounds flooding. Have a read here.


Howard Allen, Senior Consultant in our Purchasing division, appeared in Care Home Catering magazine, summer issue. The full-page article, titled ‘Want to know if you’re being quoted a fair price’ lifted the lid on how care homes can see ‘behind the scenes’ of market pricing and equip themselves with the knowledge to negotiate better deals from their suppliers. Our Senior Consultant, Kate Gould, appeared in Hospital Food & Service magazine, May/June issue, in a ‘cleaning, hygiene and kitchen maintenance’ feature. Kate comments on what to include in the HACCP Plan, Risk Assessment and safety precautions to take. You can read it here.
