Final Golf Day of 2021 Raising Money for Prostate Cancer UK

We’re incredibly proud to say that the final golf day of 2021 – which is being hosted on 20th November by John Brownless, Partner at LitmusFM – will bring his fundraising total for Prostate Cancer UK to over £90k.

The golf day is taking place at Vistabella Golf Club, Costa Blanca, Spain, with John flying over there to take part. The golf days bring men together to enjoy a day of golf but also to raise much needed awareness of prostate cancer.

With 12,000 men sadly dying of prostate cancer each year, and with it projected to be the most common of all cancers by 2030, it’s a cause close to John’s heart as a prostate cancer survivor himself. John still suffers from the side effects of his cancer and is dedicated to helping raise vital funds and awareness for the charity.

The final golf day of the year usually also sees a charity gala dinner take place, along with a secret auction which further helps to raise funds, but given international travel restrictions due to Covid sadly this year it won’t be going ahead.

However, John is ending 2021 on a high. He has hosted three golf days in total this year in both the UK and Spain and he is edging ever closer to crossing the £100k fundraising mark for the charity, which is a huge achievement.

It was six years ago that John arranged the first ever golf day and it has grown to be an event which hundreds of people attend. This year John was also supported by professional golfer and Prostate Cancer UK Ambassador Danny Willett, the 2016 Masters Tournament winner and multiple European Tour winner, who remains one of the top golfers in the world.

John already has a further three golf days already planned for 2022.

Have a fantastic time in Spain and we hope it all goes well!
