Mike Neales – Non-Executive Director

Background

Michael has worked in the catering industry for over 40 years, across hotels, in-house catering and all sectors of the contract catering industry.  His practical understanding of the Education sector, and past experience, is strengthened by a Master’s Degree in Hotel and Catering Management and an HCIMA Part B from Oxford Brookes University.

For the past 25 years, Michael has focused on Facilities Management Consultancy. He is firmly established and well known within the Education sector for his advice and professionalism in ensuring that clients receive best value in the provision of facilities management contracts; backed up by years of extensive experience and an academic understanding.

Priding himself on building long lasting and effective relationships, many clients have engaged with Michael and the Litmus Partnership in excess of 20 years.

Strategy & Performance

  • To provide support and knowledge to other consultants to ensure future business development.
  • To develop and maintain strategic relationships with both clients and contractors within the Education sector.
  • Support the implementation and delivery of strategic sales plans to deliver new business opportunities within the Education sector.
  • Delivering the financial targets from the territories and monitoring progress made in the achievement of this.


Risk & Compliance

  • To evaluate commercial opportunities within the Education sector and to ensure that if pursued these are both achievable and profitable.
  • To grow the volumes of business and ensure that this growth delivers the desired returns.
  • To manage client relationships and contractual arrangements to ensure transparent, equitable and a fair relationship exist with their contractor of choice.

  • To be seen as an innovator and leader who can inspire their team on the delivery of the above strategies to grow The Litmus Partnership’s commercial activities within the Education sector.
  • To ensure that our approach is always Client -centric and is delivered to all clients by both Consultants and the wider Litmus team.
