Litmus in the news

We’ve had another busy couple of months with media activity.

We had a double-page spread appear in the Spring issue of the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) magazine. One page was dedicated to Joe Parfitt, our Education Consultancy Director, sharing his views on how boarding schools can understand what their boarders are looking for from catering, including the food served, accessibility to making their own snacks, and getting it right for each individual school environment. You can view the article here.

Our Managing Director of Litmus Retail, Mark Kassapian, has also been busy commenting on various trends and issues.

In TUCO magazine, February issue, Mark appeared in a Grab & Go feature, talking about how the menu can be elevated through personalisation, using Mexican dishes as an example, and then again talking about how value for money is a core driver amongst students and how this isn’t about offering cheap options but about options that are worth the cost, such as working with high quality local suppliers. You can view the feature here.

He also appeared in a ‘Vending and Micro markets’ feature in Hospital Food & Service magazine, Jan/Feb issue, commenting on the range of dishes that can be stocked in a vending or smart fridge, the importance of value for money, premiumisation of coffee, how critical the location of a micro market is, services the vending supplier can offer and costs caterers need to factor in.  You can check it out here.

Happy reading!
