We’re delighted to welcome Mack Allan to the Litmus team as a Consultant, further strengthening our expertise in the Business & Industry (B&I) sector.
Mack brings with him more than 30 years of experience in contract catering and facilities management, having built a career defined by strong operational leadership, strong client partnerships and a deep understanding of the evolving foodservice landscape.
His journey in hospitality began at the prestigious Gleneagles Hotel, Scotland, where he first developed a passion for the industry. From there, Mack joined the British Army, working his way through the kitchen ranks and gaining invaluable experience in discipline, teamwork and operational excellence. This early grounding laid the foundations for a career that would see him move into senior leadership roles within the contract catering industry.
Over the following three decades, Mack progressed into a number of regional and national leadership positions, including Managing Director roles, working across the UK and Ireland. During this time he led large operational teams, supported complex client relationships and helped deliver high-quality services across a wide range of environments.
Mack’s experience spans many areas of the contract catering and FM market, including business & industry workplaces, stadia, retail venues, universities, colleges and schools. This breadth of knowledge gives him a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing modern catering operations.

Having spent much of his career at the forefront of operational leadership, Mack brings a practical understanding of how high-performing services are delivered day-to-day – from driving performance and delivering value, to building the long-term partnerships that underpin successful contracts.

At Litmus, Mack will support clients with consultancy projects, drawing on his operational insight to help organisations evaluate services, unlock value and shape foodservice and other soft FM strategies that deliver for both people and businesses.
His appointment further enhances our ability to support clients with independent, experience-led advice across the foodservice and soft facilities management landscape.
Outside of work, Mack enjoys long walks, spending time with his family and relaxing in the garden cooking on his Big Green Egg.
