With more than 25 years of experience across the catering and foodservice sector, Rachael brings a combination of operational understanding, strategic leadership, and nutritional knowledge to the industry. Beginning her career in catering operations before achieving a master’s degree in nutrition, Rachael has built a reputation for delivering innovative, compliant, and commercially successful solutions across multiple sectors.
As a Registered Nutritionist, Rachael successfully combined her operational understanding with evidence-based nutritional principles to drive significant improvements in school food provision within a major contract catering organisation. Her work spanned allergen management, legislative compliance, training delivery, marketing and pupil engagement initiatives, and the implementation of catering controls platforms, contributing to both operational excellence and industry recognition through award-winning achievements.
Rachael has since held senior roles across FM and procurement organisations, with extensive experience in business development, supply chain, nutrition strategy, account management, menu and solution development, and marketing. Her expertise covers education, care, healthcare, and business & industry sectors, with deep knowledge of both in-house and outsourced operating models.
Rachael shares her expertise through conferences, webinars, podcasts, and sector events. She was also featured in the ITN Business Nutrition for Life programme, discussing healthy and sustainable diets and the future of nutrition within foodservice.
Rachael is the current South-West Chair of the National Association of Care Catering (NACC), reflecting her ongoing commitment to raising standards and supporting excellence in the catering sector.
