Litmus celebrates a year of exceptional growth and evolution with strategic rebrand

Litmus Consultants

Following a year of outstanding growth and a renewed focus on foodservice and purchasing solutions, we’re excited to unveil our refreshed brand identity that reflects our company’s evolution and ambitious future direction.

Since 1 January 2025, we have welcomed nearly 50 new clients – many of which are Multi-Academy Trusts encompassing multiple schools – adding to the 10,000 clients we have worked with over the past 10 years. Over the past 12 months, we have also seen a 40% increase in new client appointments, underlining the demand for our specialist expertise.

With education – the sector we originally started in – we have doubled down on our strategic efforts in this area. A key milestone was the launch of Litmus Edge in September 2024, our in-house food procurement and catering management system, which provides schools and Trusts with greater visibility, efficiency and control over their catering operations.

Litmus’ recent growth:

  • In education alone, we have helped improve services for 700,000 pupils in the past year, growing to 3.45 million over the past five years.
  • This year, the number of schools supported via Litmus Edge has tripled, with a 200% uplift in new sign-ups this September as the new academic year began.
  • Our contract performance management service, which ensures organisations aren’t paying more than they should for outsourced services, currently supports nearly 400 organisations. Over the last three financial years, average annual recoveries have exceeded £320,000, protecting clients’ budgets and ensuring contracted hours are properly credited.
  • For one independent school alone, we identified surplus cleaning hours totalling 400 per week through a cleaning review.
  • We also continue to deliver more than 150 tenders each year, helping organisations find the right service providers for them and achieve best value. For example, a recent tender for a 30-school Multi-Academy Trust to centralise catering achieved £200,000 in savings, while another secondary school that outsourced catering with our support saved £102,000 in the first year and £87,000 in the second.

This continued success has provided the backdrop for our Litmus rebrand, which launched today. The new look marks a significant milestone for our business, as we continue to grow our footprint across education, healthcare, business and industry, and the public sector.

Candice Finn, Managing Director here at Litmus, commented: “The past year has been one of incredible momentum and transformation for Litmus. We’ve strengthened our position as the go-to partner for foodservice and purchasing solutions, and the results we’re achieving for clients speak volumes about the depth of expertise across our team.

“Our rebrand reflects that evolution – it marks a new chapter for Litmus, one that builds on our heritage but looks firmly to the future. As we continue to grow from strength to strength, our mission remains clear: to help organisations achieve the very best value, service quality and outcomes through informed, data-driven decisions.”

Exciting times ahead!
