With the accelerating and continued growth of our business, we have an exciting opportunity for a number of freelance M&E and Building Fabric Asset Surveyors to join our established team.

In this role, you will be accountable for providing key insight into the condition of  M&E and Building Fabric assets across a range of our Clients, covering a wide range of sectors.

The responsibilities will include:

The carrying out of Mechanical and Electrical and/or Building Fabric surveys on our Client’s properties nationwide, to validate, tag and record assets, confirming their location, and assessing their condition through visual inspection, and providing life expectancy assessments.

You will be working collaboratively with our established surveying team.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems and Building Fabric.
  • HNC/NVQ/HND qualification or similar Building or Engineering professional qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations, SFG20 and CIBSE standards.
  • A valid UK driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle.
  • Extensive experience in carrying out condition surveys covering M&E and/or Building Fabric assets.
  • Good computer literacy skills with an ability to use excel and learn other internal software platforms we currently use to record data.

 

Desirable:

  • High-level qualification in a Building Fabric or Building Engineering Services discipline
  • Experience working in customer-focused environments
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Experience in managing asset projects
  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • A strategic and logical planner with a natural problem-solving attitude
  • Has experience working with volumes of data and can analyse and provide valuable outputs
  • Enjoys working in a field-based role where travel is required
  • Keen to become a valuable member of our Surveying team
